Guess again if you think experiencing the high life of the Himalaya Mountains is only for the most hardcore mountaineers or the loneliest backpacker. To get inside the mountain folds is hard, but Journeys by Chance have found an high-end travel alternative! The majestic mountain range is now accessible to everyone – that is if you can cope with a spectacular overnight train ride and a soothing 1.5 hrs forest walk. Stay in a secluded luxury lodge which offers a completely new type of experience: extreme peace and seclusion, smack bang in the midst of majestic Himalayan peaks.
Situated in the depth of the unscathed northern Uttaranchal region awaits a luxury retreat with magnificent 360 degree views of green mountainous landscapes and snow-clad peaks. Built with local materials and age-old techniques, the camp aesthetically blends in with its surroundings, creating a harmonious and peaceful environment. Witness the epitome of luxury with an authentic Himalayan touch and extreme peace, offering the ultimate secluded honeymoon destination.
There are only four individual en-suite rooms which are built into the mountainside and feature some really special touches like private decks with fire mantels. If you’re looking for some company, you can relax around the open fire in the communal living room or dine on local gourmet fare accompanied by fine wines. It’s the little touches at your secluded residence really caught our attention: hot water bottles at bedtime and a steaming flask of freshly brewed tea upon waking; the perfect luxury Himalayan retreat.
Fill your days with a variety of guided treks in the mountains (with a custom-packed gourmet picnic). Whether you enjoy pre-dawn walks or a more laid-back afternoon strolls, we will make suggestions cater to all fitness levels. You may want to relax, but some of the walks (and the stunning photographic opportunities that come with them) are worth raising the pulse rate a tad. We recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights but can almost guarantee you won’t want to leave. Shh, don’t tell anyone yet, this is a truly hidden gem off the beaten track!
